Things to do in Sligo

There are lots of things to do in Sligo. Walking, Golfing, Fishing, Sailing, Surfing etc. Google will tell you a lot of things but here are a few;

Beaches

- Rosses Point Beach is close to both hotels, 5 min drive left out of the Raddisson. Harry's is a great little pub close by.

- Strandhill Beach is on the other side of the bay and is a lovely town popular with surfers, no swimming.

- Streedagh Beach is breathtaking and vast. 15km out of Sligo town, take the Bundoran road (N15 North) and turn left at Grange, follow the signs.

- Mullaghmore. 20km out of Sligo town, take the Bundoran road (N15 North) and turn left at Cliffoney, follow the signs.

Surf

Strandhill is best for a beach break, www.strandhillsurfcam.com will tell you how she is looking.
Tom Hickey at www.perfectdaysurfing.com is the man to go to if you want to try it out.

Boats

Ewings is the place to go www.sligoboatcharters.com/tourist-information/hotels/

Golf - Rosses Point Golf course.

Other attractions - Lissadell House, Seaweed baths in Strandhill, Queen Maeve's Grave at the top of Knocknarea and Benbulben.

Map/Locations

For those driving it is 3 hours from Dublin taking the N4 all the way to Sligo. Go through the town and follow signs for Rosses Point which is the first left after you go across the bridge in the town center. Rossaville is a mile on the left in Ballincar and The Raddisson is a bit further up the road on the right.

You can also take the train to Sligo followed by a 5 minute taxi ride

LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE!
